Is OJ's media blitz a crass half-assed confession or a crass media teaser? It may well yet turn out that the book and TV show is nothing more than a poor rhetorical argument designed to highlight the improbability of his involvement ("I don't think any two people could be murdered without everybody being covered in blood") . If so, publisher Judith Regan's well-publicized statement that she considers this to be his confession may be more PT Barnum hucksterism than stern historic pronouncement.
